Open Role

Chatter

Conversation is the revenue.

Chatters handle direct messages on a creator’s account, writing in their voice to subscribers who have already paid to be there. It is a writing and sales role, and it is where the majority of an account’s revenue is actually made.

What we look for

  • Writing that reads like a person, not a script
  • Sales instinct without pressure
  • Ability to match a creator’s voice and register
  • Consistency across a full shift, not just the first hour
  • Shift reliability — this is the one agencies screen hardest for

The work

What the role involves

01

Conversation management

Holding dozens of parallel threads without losing track of who each subscriber is or what they respond to.

02

Sales

Pay-per-view content, custom requests and tips — read the signals, pace the offer, and stop when the answer is no.

03

Retention

A subscriber who feels remembered stays subscribed. Retention is usually worth more than any single sale.

04

Record keeping

Logging preferences and spend history so the next conversation starts warmer than the last.

Compensation

How it pays

Usually hourly plus commission, or commission only. Earnings depend heavily on the account you are assigned and your own conversion rate, so treat any advertised flat figure with scepticism.

Questions

Before you apply

Do I need previous OFM experience to be hired as a chatter?

No. Most agencies will take an inexperienced applicant who demonstrates the underlying skills. Backgrounds in customer support, telesales, hospitality and community moderation translate well. The skills assessment matters more than your CV.

How much do OnlyFans chatters earn?

Pay is typically an hourly base plus commission on what you sell, or commission only. Actual earnings depend far more on the account you are assigned and your conversion rate than on the headline rate. Be cautious of any listing promising a high guaranteed figure without describing the structure behind it.

Is there a fee to apply?

No. No legitimate agency or placement network charges applicants at any stage — not for training, software access, or onboarding. A request for payment is the clearest sign of a scam.

What does the assessment involve?

Written scenarios rather than a conversation: opening a new subscriber, handling a price objection, re-engaging someone who has gone quiet. It is the main thing we assess, so it is worth taking properly rather than rushing.

What hours does chatter work involve?

Accounts need coverage around the clock, so shifts vary and often include evenings or overnights in your local time. State your real availability rather than an impressive one — missed shifts end placements quickly.
