Open Role
Social Media Manager
Chat converts. Social creates.
Social media managers run a creator’s public accounts to drive traffic toward the paid page. It is the growth engine of an agency, and consistently one of the hardest positions to fill well.

What we look for
- Current understanding of what each platform rewards now
- High, sustainable output across multiple accounts
- Judgement about content restrictions and account risk
- Evidence you have grown an account — any account, any niche
The work
What the role involves
Short-form video
Producing and scheduling the format that drives the majority of traffic. Volume matters, and so does not letting quality collapse under it.
Hooks and captions
Writing openings that survive the first two seconds of a scroll — the single highest-leverage skill in the role.
Trend participation
Moving quickly enough that a trend is still a trend when your post lands.
Reading performance
Adjusting based on what the numbers say rather than posting on autopilot.
Compensation
How it pays
More often a flat rate or monthly retainer than commission, since results are slower to attribute. Performance bonuses tied to subscriber growth are common. Producing content is worth more than only scheduling it.
Questions
Before you apply
What does an OFM social media manager do?
You run a creator’s public-facing accounts — short-form video, image posts, captions and trend participation — to drive subscribers to the paid page. On many teams you also cut and edit the creator’s raw material rather than only scheduling what they send.
Do I need experience to apply?
Platform literacy matters more than years on a CV. If you have grown an account of your own, in any niche, say so — it is the single most persuasive thing you can include in an application.
How is this role paid?
Typically a flat rate or retainer rather than commission, often with performance bonuses tied to growth. Rates vary with how many accounts you run and whether you produce content or only schedule it.
Which platforms will I work on?
Primarily short-form video platforms, alongside image and text posts and relevant community platforms. The exact mix depends on the creator and their audience.
